Microsoft Outlook Express - Repeated messages, but never all of them:

Symptom:

When you check your email, you get the same messages again, but it never completes downloading the entire list of messages.

Cause:

This occurs when there is a very large message waiting for you on the server. It sort of gets stuck there and cannot come down to your computer

Solution 1:

You can try checking your email at a time of very low usage. For instance, you might be able to get all of the messages at 6 in the morning, when very few people are using the Internet.

Solution 2:

Call your Internet Service Provider and ask them to delete the large message(s) that is waiting for you. They may also be able to tell you who it came from.
