Norton Antivirus - Manual Uninstall for Windows NT: If you load Norton Antivirus onto a Windows NT machine that already has another antivirus program, it may result in a machine that won't boot up. Put the hard drive in another Windows NT machine as a non-boot drive Rename the following files: Winnt/system32/s32evnt1.dll Winnt/system32/symevnt1.dll Winnt/system32/symevnt.386 Winnt/system32/drivers/symevent.sys Place the drive back in the original machine and it should now boot up. Remove Norton (and/or the other antivirus program)
